Why we create the AutismTherapy.nl Professional Network?

1

We are Anna and Yiannis, psychologists who have been living and working in the Netherlands for more than six years.

Around 2.5 years ago, we founded Autism Therapy in The Netherlands. The practice grew very quickly, with more than 30 clients starting therapy in our first year alone. As demand continued to increase, we saw how many families struggle with ridiculously long waiting lists and difficulty finding the right autism professional.

At the same time, our own professional focus has gradually shifted away from autism and more toward therapy for anxiety, depression and related difficulties.

Rather than stepping away from autism care completely, we decided to turn AutismTherapy.nl into something bigger: a professional network that helps families find trusted specialists across the Netherlands.

We may not be able to help every family ourselves, but we can help them find someone who can.

What is the AutismTherapy.nl Professional Network?

2

It is a closed directory limited to a maximum of 50 members (plus 5 schools) specialising in autism, developmental delays, and related support.

Independent therapists, small therapy centres and inclusive schools can have their own profile on AutismTherapy.nl, where families can find and contact them directly.

We do not mediate the therapy relationship and we do not take over your clients. You decide which enquiries to accept, provide the therapy through your own practice and receive the therapy fees directly.

We are deliberately keeping the network small, in order to ensure quality for the families and client onboarding for the professionals.

How can the network help me find new clients?

3

AutismTherapy.nl currently receives around 150 client requests per year, mainly from areas where we have actively built our online presence, including The Hague, Rotterdam, Leiden and Amsterdam.

A major source of these enquiries is Google: AutismTherapy.nl literally ranks #1 for several important autism therapy searches in the cities we currently target.

Our next step is to expand this visibility across the Netherlands, including cities such as Utrecht, Eindhoven, Maastricht, Breda, Arnhem, Alkmaar, Groningen, Tilburg, and others.

As our reach grows, we expect the number of families finding AutismTherapy.nl to grow with it. By limiting the network to 50 members, our aim is for each professional to have the opportunity to receive multiple relevant enquiries and potential new clients throughout the year.

For families this means more access to support. For professionals it means becoming part of a network that is actively working to bring those families to you.

Who can become a member?

4

We welcome therapists, psychologists, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), occupational therapists (OTs), physical therapists, parent-training specialists, PRT and ABA therapists, music therapists, and other related professionals supporting children with autism, developmental or language delays, ADHD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and related challenges.

Our goal is to build a diverse network, so families can find the support that best fits their needs. You may work independently, run a small centre or team, or be an early-career professional with relevant experience and ambition.

Different approaches, backgrounds and languages are all welcome. If your work supports children with developmental needs and their families, we encourage you to apply.
