Who We Are
Bringing Families and Professionals Together
We bring together families of children with autism (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, language and communication difficulties, sensory needs and related developmental challenges with professionals who can support them.
Finding that professional can be surprisingly difficult. Families may face long waiting lists, limited local availability, uncertainty about which type of therapy their child needs, or simply spend months contacting provider after provider.
And this is part of a wider challenge in the Netherlands. The Dutch government acknowledges that youth care is not always sufficiently appropriate or available in time. Official figures for 2024–2025 also recorded more than 21,000 cases of children and young people who were not enrolled in education or were absent from school for more than four consecutive weeks.
About Us
Our vision is simple: Every child and family should be able to find a professional who genuinely fits their needs without an endless search. That might mean a psychologist, speech-language therapist, occupational therapist, PRT or ABA therapist, parent-training specialist, physical therapist, music therapist or another developmental professional.
And the right match is about more than a diagnosis. Location, language, age, therapeutic approach, experience and the needs of the individual child all matter.
Our Vision
What We Create
That is why we created the AutismTherapy.nl Professional Network: a carefully limited network of specialists across the Netherlands. Families can search for professionals near them, learn about their expertise and approach, and contact them directly. Our goal is to bring different disciplines, languages and approaches together in one place, so that instead of asking “Where do we even start?”, families can focus on a much more useful question:
“Who is the right professional for our child?”
